The Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Business Record have announced the 2018 Inclusion Award Winners. The Inclusion Awards honor employers that have championed diversity and inclusion at their organizations and within the community. The nominees are evaluated by a selection committee made up of members of The Partnership’s Inclusion Council and past honorees. Winners must be Members or Investors of The Partnership. The chosen winners were recognized at The Partnership’s annual Inclusion Forum held Friday, Nov. 16.
One of the 2018 Inclusion Award winners is TPI Composites. TPI has adjusted its talent pipeline to focus attention on reaching underserved areas. As a result, the company has more than 990 associates representing 46 countries, including an employee base that is 34.6 percent Black or African National and 20 percent Hispanic. Part of the company’s human capital strategy focuses on attracting, welcoming, retaining and developing talent that just needs a chance.
The other winners were Bankers Trust and Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.
