  5. Youth Pumpkin Decorating Contest

    October 18, 2018, 10:00 AM - October 22, 2018, 8:00 PM @ Newton Public Library

    Decorate a pumpkin as your favorite book character! Pumpkins may be painted, dressed, and accessorized, but not carved. Entries will be accepted October 18-22. The public will vote for their favorite entries to select winners. Voting takes place October 23-30. Entry forms may be picked up at the Children's Desk. Winners will be announced on October 31 and will win a gift basket of children's books, DVDs, and other Halloween treats! Entries will be accepted for two categories; Individual Child and Family/Group. The family category is for pumpkins done by an entire family, daycare center, or class with an adult helping children.

    Takes place in the living room of the Brent's country home in the play Nothing's On, and the backstage area. Wednesday afternoon. (Three different theaters between January and April.) ’Noises Off’ is “the funniest farce ever written,” The production presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play. Tickets will go on sale Oct 1, and are $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for youth. For reservations, call our Box Office at 641-792-1230. The box office is staffed weekdays, starting Oct 1, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and 6:30-8:00 pm, and one hour before each performance.

The clinic fills the gap between a traditional care provider and the emergency department.
