Newton Main Street is holding our second annual Farm to Table Dinner to raise funds to restore the two remaining murals and the creation of a new mural, in downtown Newton. In the summer of 2017, Newton Main Street partnered with the University of Iowa to restore four of the largest murals in downtown Newton. There are two remaining murals yet to be done. We would like to see these final two murals restored, and ready to withstand the next 15 years. The Farm to Table Dinner, taking place at the Cellar Peanut Pub*, will feature locally sourced ingredients and dishes prepared by Hy-Vee. The Peanut Pub will be open for purchases of adult beverages. We will have creative art along with beer and wine based fundraisers to get us started towards raising the necessary funds to restore our murals, and potentially create a new one! *Must be 21 to attend.
