  1. Genreflecting Book Club - A library book club celebrating genre fiction

    June 27, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Library Conference Room

    Newton Public Library is introducing a new book club in June 2012 to coincide with the launch of the DearReader.com and the adult summer reading program. The book club will meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. in the library conference room. The discussion will be led by Public Services Librarian, Holly Youngquist. Each month readers will enjoy a book from a different genre of fiction. On Wednesday, June 27, we’ll meet in the conference room, and the first book will be a cozy mystery that mixes genres and humor called The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Please register for the first book club meeting at the information desk by June 6 so we know how many books to make available for readers.

    Newton Union Cemetery clean up will start Monday, July 9th, 2012. Persons wishing to save artificial flowers and other items on or around grave sites, must have all items removed by Sunday, July 8th, 2012. All remaining items will be discarded.
