Three recently hired firefighters have started paramedic class. The course is approximately 1,200 hours in length and will take nearly a year to complete. Firefighters will experience a combination of classroom, clinical, field practicum time. This program will expand the life-saving care the firefighters can provide to the citizens of Newton.
