JCF recently awarded the Newton Police Department with a $5000 Local Community Grant for the purchase of simunition training guns and protective equipment. This equipment will allow police officers to train in a more realistic manner and ultimately prepare for a safer and more effective response to critical incidents. The equipment will also be used during the upcoming Citizens Public Safety Academy to expose participants to realistic scenarios reflecting experiences officers respond to regularly.
