The Newton Fire Department hosted a Badge Pinning Ceremony for Jacob Halferty, Andy Owen, and Tanner Owen on November 1st. Mayor Mike Hansen has was in attendance and did the official swearing in of the newest members. Bagpiper Ron Husted assisted with bagpipe music and the Newton Fire and Jasper County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard presented the flags for the ceremony. Cake and punch were served at the conclusion of the ceremony. Thanks to all who participated and attended.
