On October 16, Youth Services Librarian Phyllis Peter and Library Director Nicole Lindstrom attended a State Learning Circuit in Coralville with Every Library presenting. In this workshop led by John Chrastka and Patrick Sweeney from EveryLibrary, we learned strategies behind creating engaging messages and techniques for communicating more effectively to their public. Over 250 Librarians across the state attended these Learning Circuits.
On Tuesday, October 15, Trustees and Directors throughout Jasper County attended a County-Wide trustee training. The training took place at Lynnville Public Library, and the subject matter was Library Budgets taught by Maryann Mori, our Central Iowa State Consultant.
