Parks operations staff have been busy working on the Holiday Lighting Display throughout Maytag Park. An electrical upgrade done in the park added additional electrical outlets on some of the light poles. This upgrade will allow the display to grow and extend into areas that previously did not have access to electricity.
An anonymous donation was made to the Friends of Newton Parks to cover the cost of the electrical upgrades. Pictured is a member of the park operations staff transporting a lift used to help install the holiday lights. The use of this lift was an in-kind donation by Smith’s Quality Rental for the Holiday Light Display.
