As part of the City of Newton’s Capital Improvement Plan, City Council authorized the Public Works department to build additional storage for equipment. The new 45-ft x 60-ft addition to an existing equipment storage building at the public works facility will store three-winged snowplows.
In between daily street maintenance and snow removal operations, public works crews worked diligently to get the building site prepared, including utility installation, and placing of concrete. The completion of the building is expected in midwinter, depending on the weather.
