The Library has created a Digital Library Card Form online: https://www.newtongov.org/FormCenter/Library-forms-4/Digital-Library-Card-Registration-124
Due to the Newton Public Library being closed to the public, they are now offering people the opportunity to sign up for a digital library card. A digital library card will work as a temporary, six-month card that will allow you to use our digital materials – eBooks, eAudiobooks, and databases. Some digital materials, including all downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks, are only available to residents of Newton, Lambs Grove, and rural Jasper County. Once the card expires, digital cardholders will need to come to the library with a photo ID and proof of address and get their physical card.
Current library card holders who are having issues logging in to Libby or our databases are encouraged to call the Library Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm for assistance. Staff are in the building and able to answer reference questions, renew materials, and library card accounts.
