This afternoon we wanted to provide some information from Alliant Energy. Their crews are working to restore power to more of our community. All of their crews continue to work as quickly and safely as possible to restore all services and more neighborhoods are starting to get power. More crews are arriving from around the nation every day to assist with restoration efforts. By tomorrow, there will be 15 additional lineman crews and 10 additional tree crews in our area. We do know that the damage to power lines varies throughout the community; there are many different powerlines down throughout the community - transmission lines, substation circuits, distribution lines and electric service meters on homes. Please make sure that your electrical service meter (where the power feeds into your house) is not damaged. If it is damaged, you need to contact an electrical to reconnect that to your home before Alliant will reconnect your service.
