The City of Newton dedicated the new Stan Clement Drive near Iowa Speedway on Wednesday. Craig Armstrong, development specialist for the City of Newton, Mayor Michael L. Hansen, former Mayor & former Iowa Senator Chaz Allen, and the Clement family took part in the dedication ceremony.
Mr. Clement died May 7. As a longtime community member, he played a vital role in the development of Iowa Speedway. He served as the President of Iowa Speedway until his retirement in 2013. He was a member at the Emerson Hough Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, the Newton Elks Lodge, and the NASCAR Foundation.
