[ARCHIVED] Community Development, Community Services & Public Works Offices are Moving

The new offices for the City of Newton’s Community Development, Community Services & Public Works departments at Legacy Plaza are near completion. The existing offices at the Public Works building will be closed on Friday, October 30 to allow staff to move into the new building.

These new offices will be located at 403 W 4th St N, Suite 501; Newton, IA 50208. The entrance to the new offices will be located on the south side of Legacy Plaza. Once in the lobby, the elevator can be taken to the fifth floor and the city offices are located right outside the elevators. Parking is available throughout the Legacy Plaza Campus but the closest parking will be south of the main entrance (entrance off of W 4th St N) and the City owned parking lot off (entrance off of N 2nd Ave W).

The new offices will be open for business on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020. The existing Public Works building will house Public Works & Community Services operations (this includes streets and park operations). Most business that residents and visitors have – such as building permits, rental permits, contractor services, cemetery services, and park shelter reservations - will take place at the new location.
