Mayor Michael L. Hansen signed a proclamation continuing the Public Health Disaster through November 30, 2021. The proclamation continues to encourage residents to follow mitigation measures recommended by the Iowa Department of Public Health. It also encourages Newton residents to consult with their personal health care provider for consideration of the COVID-19 vaccination.
