The summer schedule of music in Newton this summer continues to grow as the Summer Concert Series at Maytag Bowl returns on Thursday nights beginning May 26. The series is free to the public, the concerts begin at 7 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets as well as their own food and beverage as they enjoy the music.
“The Summer Concert Series at Maytag Bowl is one of those can’t miss summer events and is something you have to add to your summer calendar,” said Danielle Rogers, Community Marketing Manager. “We’re excited to kick off the summer with local favorites, Slipstream. We’ve also brought back the Dueling Pianos of Andy Anderson & Mike Leeds, Hard Left Turn and The Boys! We’re excited to welcome the Opus Taylor Band, as part of Newton Fest, and Get Off My Lawn. And as always, the summer lineup also features the Newton City Band, which has a long tradition of playing at Maytag Bowl.”
