As a reminder, Iowa allows the use of fireworks starting June 1st, but locally they are not allowed within the city limits of Newton until July 4th.
Our local code of ordinances does not allow discharging of consumer fireworks outside the following date and time in Newton: July 4th between the hours of 8 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Please be respectful and continue being a good neighbor by following all fireworks regulations that are in place. We ask that you keep fireworks contained to your property and pick up any debris that travels beyond your property. If possible, notify neighbors prior to use allowing them time to prepare if needed.
