Winter is coming and that makes it the perfect time to check out our Homebound Reader Service!
The Homebound Reader Service is a free program designed for Newton residents who are confined to their homes, either temporarily or long-term, by an illness, injury, or difficulty with travel. This includes those who may struggle with transportation to the library during the snowy winter months.
Here's how the program works: Readers sign up with our Information Desk and work with a librarian to select books, magazines, and audiobooks. A volunteer will bring your selected materials right to your front door, and then pick them back up when you're done with them.
If you or someone you know would benefit from this program, give us a call at 641-792-4108!
