On May 22nd, the Public Works Operations Division hosted 213 1st & 2nd graders and their teachers for Touch a Truck. Students learned about the street sweeper, motor grader, snow plow and loader, all part of the City's street maintenance fleet. A station at each piece of equipment gave the children a personal chance to ask questions to a member of our Operations Division and see the vehicles up close. After completion of all the stations, the children received reusable grocery bags filled with pencils, coloring books and stickers.
