[ARCHIVED] Summer Food Service Program-- Free Meals for Children

The Newton Community School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to children ages 1-18 free of charge. Adults may purchase meals at $3.00.

Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at the site and times as follows:

Lunch meals will be provided free of charge from June 9th-July 31st 2014 from 11:00 A.M.-12:15 P.M. (Monday-Friday with no meals on July 4th, 2014)

Meals will be served at the Berg Elementary Cafeteria, located at 1900 N. 5th Ave. E., Newton, IA. 50208.

**Ride Services Available Daily free of charge to bring kids over to the Berg Program**
If the bus is full at any stop and more kids are waiting the driver will return for a second pick up: (HIRTA) (providing rides-questions call 877-686-0029)

10:30 AM-Thomas Jefferson (north parking lot by lunch room)
10:40 AM-Woodrow Wilson (south parking lot by front entrance)
10:50 AM-Emerson Hough (north parking lot by lunch room)
11:00 AM-Aurora Heights (north parking lot by lunch room)
11:45 AM-Berg Elementary (front entrance on 5th Ave) Pick up and return kids to the schools they were picked up at. Attention: No supervision is available at pick-up sites.
