The Newton Dog Park will be closed starting Monday, August 4th and will remain closed much of the week. During this time, city crews will be completely removing and replacing the north fence of the park. In addition, contractors will begin installing a new handicap accessible handicap parking spot and sidewalk. The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 8th. To stay up-to-date on progress of the project, park users are encouraged to monitor the Newton Park and Recreation Facebook page for updates.
