This week, the City of Newton participated in Thanks with Franks, an event in downtown Newton during which businesses give away free hot dogs to Newton citizens in order to thank them for supporting local businesses and organizations throughout the year. The City offered the "Get to Know Newton Dog"--a hot dog with farm fresh tomatoes and onions purchased at the local farmer’s market, hand-made Maytag Blue Cheese, and our locally made Giovanni’s pizza sauce.
