The Fred Maytag Bowl Rehabilitation Project received a Historical Restoration/Preservation award from the Iowa Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). The project architect was Douglas Steinmetz Architect of Cedar Rapids and the general contractor was Roy Sargent Building, Inc. of Menlo. Tracy Warner, the Iowa APWA chapter president, presented the award at the fall conference held in Ames on September 11th.
