The upcoming Session 19 of the Citizen Police Academy will be held September 15 through November 3, 2015. The Citizen Police Academy is an 8 week course; sessions run every Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to provide an educational opportunity for citizens to learn first-hand about police operations and to gain a deeper understanding of today’s law enforcement functions.
Application requests may be made by contacting the Newton Police Department at 791-0850, by email to Janet Cox janetc@newtongov.org or an application can be printed off the City of Newton website www.newtongov.org. Applications must be turned in to the Newton Police Department by August 24, 2015.
Class size is limited. Notification letters will be sent out after the return deadline date.
