On August 15, 2015 members of the Local 1457 operated a “Fill the Boot” campaign in front of the Fire Station at the intersection of 1st Ave and West 4th Street. In a three hour period firefighters raised in excess of $1,400. Firefighters are looking for means to supplement the funds with matching grants. Last year the firefighters raised over $3,400.
