Two new firefighters will begin service today on Monday, August 31, 2015. Matthew Hager, of Des Moines, and Lee Clanton, of Pella, will begin their duties as firefighter/paramedics. Hager is originally from California and moved to the area as his wife pursues a degree in medicine. Clanton is originally from Georgia and moved to the area with his wife who is the Director of EMS in Pella. Both will be excellent additions to the Fire Department.
