Montana Mike's will host a fundraising event for the Newton Police Department's new K9 officer, Smokey, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.
All are encouraged to attend for an opportunity to meet Smokey and the Iowa Barnstormers players and coaching staff.
Donations for Smokey's training can be made by any of the following during the event:
1) Purchase any Dr. Pepper drink and $2 will be donated to Smokey.
2) Purchase tickets to Newton Night at the Iowa Barnstormers game on May 7.
3) Make a direct donation to Smokey and have your name put on the Smokey wall.
The event is sponsored by Montana Mike's, the Iowa Barnstormers, Dr. Pepper, Energy 106.7, KCOB and the Newton Police Department.
