[ARCHIVED] Park Board Fundraising for Fireworks Event

The Newton Park Board is hard at work fundraising for this year’s Fireworks event. The group’s goal is to raise $12,000 for the event by April 1st.

“We have seen a great response from corporate sponsors this year. Hy-Vee, Trinity Structures, U.S. Bank, and Van Manaan Electric have joined us as sponsors for this year’s event.” said Nathan Unsworth, Administrative Superintendent with the City of Newton. “These sponsorships have really ignited our fundraising efforts this year.”

The Park Board is currently about $5,000 from reaching their fundraising goal for 2016. If businesses or individuals are interested in donating, they may send donations to:
City of Newton
Attn: Newton Fireworks Fund
3000 N 4th Ave E
Newton, IA 50208.

Donations are also being accepted online at www.gofundme.com/NewtonFireworks .

“The fireworks event continues to improve each and every year” said Adam Vandall, Chair of the Newton Park Board. “This would not be possible without support from individuals and businesses who contribute to the event—we could not do it without them.”
