The Newton Park Board is still fundraising for this year’s Fireworks event. The Park Board is currently about $2,000 from reaching their fundraising goal for 2016 and would like to raise it by June 24th. As an incentive to donate they will be giving away a family pool pass to the Maytag Pool and families pass to Westwood Golf Course. Anyone who donates to the fireworks fund from June 13th – June 24th will be entered in the drawing for both prizes. Winners will be announced on Monday, June 27th on the Newton Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Prizes will be redeemable for either the 2016 or 2017 season.
Donations are also being accepted online at www.gofundme.com/NewtonFireworks or at the Newton Parks Office located at 3000 N 4th Ave E.
