The Summer Kids Police Academy was held during the week of June 26th. 22 kids in grades 5-8 had an opportunity to learn about the various duties a police officer performs as well as special presentations relating to SWAT operations, crime scene investigations and K9. The kids enjoyed their time learning from the officers over the course of the 4 day academy. The academy was organized and primarily taught by School Resource Officer Julie Britton.
