The Police Department participated in the National Drive Electric Week event at NewBo Market in Cedar Rapids on September 16th. The event was sponsored by Alliant Energy and brought awareness of electric vehicles and their use in everyday life or as a resource for the business or government sector. The Police Department’s Zero electric motorcycle was purchased through Alliant Energy’s “Bright Ideas” grant in September of 2016 and has had a positive impact within the community.
