Last week crews set the base of the soon to be dedicated Firefighter Tribute Statue in front of the fire station. The base weighs in excess of two tons and was set in place with a forklift donated by Smith Rental of Newton. The statue, created by sculptor Nick Klepinger, along with landscaping and installation of brick pavers around the base of the statue were completed this morning in anticipation of the dedication ceremony scheduled for 5:30 PM tomorrow evening on September 11.
