In partnership with the Newton Community School District, the Police Department began teaching the “Too Good For Drugs” curriculum to all the 4th grade classrooms in February. NCSD counselors teach the first 4 lessons of the program and specially trained police officers teach the last 4 lessons of the program. The program is science based and teaches students skills to make good decisions and to avoid taking harmful substances.
