On May 3, 2018 at approximately 2:05PM the Newton Police Department located Michael Dean Phillips in a vehicle in the 100 blk. of S 2nd Ave E. Phillips was taken into custody without incident.
Phillips is charged with 1st Degree Robbery and was taken to the Jasper County Jail. The Newton Police Department would like to thank the public for the numerous tips and information that assisted in locating Phillips.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
