The ZBA met on May 2, 2018 and held hearings on three items:
- CU18-4: Discover Hope 5:17 Community Center, 733 1st Ave E, approved with the condition that no more than 12 residents can live at the location at any given time.
- CU18-5: Global Fiberglass Storage Yards (additional) at NE Corner of 927 North 19th Ave E and 1716 N 19th Avenue E, after lengthy discussion, the board approved the permit for the two locations provided a solid privacy style fence, which is not visible through, is installed around the entire area with gates that are capable of securing the site during hours of non-operation.
- V18-2: Front Yard Setback Variance, 1004 S 5th Avenue W, after lengthy discussion, the board tabled this item to the next meeting to gain clarity on the location of the front property line (owner believed it was further from the home than City records indicate) and to obtain feedback from potential buyer on alternate designs which may not necessitate a variance.
