Chief Burdess was recently elected president of the Iowa Police Chiefs Association (IPCA) during the organization’s annual conference in Coralville. The IPCA represents over 200 Iowa police chiefs and sheriffs and works with other statewide law enforcement and public safety associations to promote professional standards within the State of Iowa through training, legislation and advocacy. Chief Burdess will serve a 2 year term beginning July 1st.
