The Planning and Zoning Commission met on August 7th and unanimously recommended approval of some minor changes to the Floodplain Ordinance and associated definitions found in the General Provisions section of the zoning code. Effective October 5, 2018, new Flood Insurance Rate Maps will be in effect, and the Iowa DNR and FEMA require that our ordinance is updated to align with the maps effective date.
