The Jasper Community Foundation awarded a grant in the amount of $3,500 to the Fire Department to help fund a project to purchase three new video laryngoscopes. Jasper Community Foundation President Dan Skokan presented the check to Fire Chief Jarrod Wellik and Firefighter/Paramedic Matt Hager on August 9. 2018. Firefighter/Paramedic Matt Hager wrote the grant request for the department. The video laryngoscopes allow EMS staff the ability to see into a patient’s airway to assist in placing a tube to help them breath. The equipment has already been purchased and has been placed in service.
