Ashlyn Breckenridge was sworn in as Newton’s newest police officer on September 12th. Ashlyn is a 2015 graduate of Prairie City-Monroe High School and is currently in her last semester at Iowa State University majoring in criminal justice and psychology. Ashlyn has begun the 12-week field training program and is scheduled to attend the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in January of 2019.
