Judy Ricks, Reference Librarian, has been out visiting retirement homes in the community assisting patrons in signing up for library cards, advertising library services, and programs, and enlisting folks into the Homebound Reader Program. The Homebound Reader Program is a free program specifically designed for those who are confined to their homes by an illness, disability, mobility, or injury (temporary or long-term).
How does it work? A volunteer is assigned to you to drop off and pick up library materials. Homebound readers are allowed to request books, place holds on items & check out magazines, audiobooks, & books. Anyone interested in volunteering for the program or signing up can call Judy Ricks at 792-4108.
