Please clear an area of a minimum of 3’ around the hydrant so the fire department can have easy access in case the fire hydrant is needed. If the fire hydrant is buried it makes it difficult to find and if needed and can cause delays in getting the adequate water supply that may be needed.
The fire department would also like to remind you to keep your fireplaces and wood burners clean and if using additional heat sources that they are being used safe and properly.
