Staff at Water Pollution Control have been cleaning clarifiers. Clarifiers, large circular concrete tanks, are used to settle the sewer water for continuous removal of sewage solids deposited by sedimentation. These clarifiers must be periodically drained, cleaned and inspected by plant staff.
