In partnership with Midwest K9, the Police Department hosted a police K9 workshop for patrol dogs. The workshop provided an opportunity for handlers to learn more about trailing in an effort to enhance their skills at finding missing persons or escaped fugitives. 12 teams from Iowa and Illinois converged on Jasper County on October 25th and 26th for the training. Chief Burdess served as one of the instructors and Officer Walker and K9 Smokey participated in the training.
