Officer Shawn Dahlin was sworn in as the Police Department’s newest officer. Shawn has been a police officer since 2015, formerly serving with the Meskwaki Nation Police Department in Tama. He served with the Iowa Army National Guard as a combat engineer at Camp Dodge and he holds an associates and bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. We are excited to have Shawn join our team and be a part of the Newton community.
