[ARCHIVED] New Cardiac Monitors Placed In Service

New Cardiac Monitors Placed In Service

The Newton Fire Department has received the new cardiac monitors purchased with monies awarded from the 2017 Assistance to Firefighters Grant. Firefighters spent the past two weeks training on the new technology and have placed the units in service. Each year the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program awards nearly $370 million dollars in equipment and programs to fire departments across the United States. The grant purchased three new Zoll X Series Cardiac Monitors. The total cost of the project was $119,343.72. The grant program pays for 95% of the total cost of the project and requires a 5% local match.
