This year, TPI had several groups of employees volunteer in numerous places throughout our park system. One project they worked included painting the restrooms using paint provided by a Paint Iowa Beautiful Grant from @Keep Iowa Beautiful. The goal was to have the bathrooms throughout the parks system painted the same color to help aid in easy touch-up to any graffiti. The restrooms had not been painted in many years, and it really brightened them up! They also painted the outside of the maintenance building at Woodland Park. As groups of volunteers painted, others were picking up sticks and trash at the softball complex, Woodland Park, and Maytag Park.
