With the exceptionally warmer temperatures in December Public Works Operations were able to get the street sweeper out of cold storage and head out to residential neighborhoods. Sweeping this late in the year helps pick up any late falling leaves and also helps to prevent storm water intakes from getting plugged up with leaves. This is beneficial to Street Crews by getting a jump start on spring maintenance and cleanup.
