Public Works personnel recently completed installing a metal ceiling in the maintenance shop at the Newton Sanitary Landfill. Due to the mild winter, this is a project that was able to be completed utilizing City staff and save the City some money. Plans to complete the installation of metal sidewalls and a lighting project are in process.
