Parks Operations assisted several groups of students executing numerous volunteer projects throughout the park system on Newton’s Red Pride Service Day.
Five trees were planted in Maytag Park and the students planted, mulched and watered all of the trees. Other groups of Newton High School and Berg Middle School students helped spruce up many different parks throughout town by picking up litter as well as sticks.
