The event returns bigger, brighter and better for its second year. The museum’s interior will be decked out for the holidays - you’ll find wreaths, seasonal decorations and more than 175 Christmas trees. Visit from 5 - 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 - 4 p.m. Sundays. Closed Christmas Eve. Admission is $5 per person, kids 7 and younger are free.

Return the books when you're done with them - keep the craft! The December theme is "Winter Wonderland" and includes a selection of holiday and winter themed novels. Load up the car and bring the family to see thousands of twinkling lights and more than 50 lighted displays at Maytag Park Holiday Lights sponsored by Clemon-Maki Insurance and organized by the City of Newton and Friends of Newton Parks. Admission is free each evening.
